Bill Nielsen is a third generation award winning filmmaker. Training under his father, Bill's career spans over 25 years. His rite to passage was spending 10 years in the camera department working on feature films such as "High Fidelity",
"The Shawshank Redemption" and a dozen more. Bill's entry into episodic television was as a steadicam/camera operator on shows such as "Prison Break","Masters of Sex" and "Chicago Code".
From there he escalated his career to cinematographer for shows such as "Sirens", "Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll"and "Chicago Fire".
Bill Nielsen resides in the Chicago area with his family. During his hiatus from episodic television, he shoots commercials, short films, spends time with his family and can be found boating on the Fox River.
